Just in time for the leading European trade fair GaLaBau 2022 in Nuremberg, we are presenting our new permanently elastic joint compound vdw 885 plus FugenFlex compact.
With this product, we are expanding our range with a highly elastic, one-component silicone-based joint sealant. The joint compound already contains minerals, which create a coloured surface texture and therefore blend in visually with existing synthetic resin-based mortar joints.
Due to its excellent weather and ageing resistance, vdw 885 plus can also be used for the full-surface joint sealing of ceramic terrace elements. With these non-absorbent slab surfaces, pre-treating the joint flanks with a primer is no longer necessary.
Due to the high abrasion resistance as well as the tear and notch toughness of this new joint sealant, it is now possible to lay even large-format ceramic terrace elements not in a bound but in an unbound bedding while still achieving a durable joint seal.
