vdw 835 N SchwerlastfugenMörtel. reaction-resin-bound, water-permeable paving joint mortar with a graded mineral grain mix. For jointing paving and clinker surfaces in the public sector.

Application

Requirements Stable, load-bearing, permanently water-permeable substrate appropriate to the expected loads. Joint depth ≥ 30 mm (for trafficked surfaces full joint depth), joint width continuously ≥ 10 mm, ambient and object temperature ≥ 5 °C, max. 25 °C.

Test area With natural stone and concrete paver surfaces, contact between vdw 835 N SchwerlastfugenMörtel and the stone surface can cause visual changes, such as darkening and/or staining. We generally strongly recommend laying out a test area. Where appropriate, we recommend the use of vdw 950 SteinSchutz 3 in 1.

Preparation Clean the surface of the object to be jointed free of residue.

Pre-wetting Wet the surface thoroughly. When pre-wetting, mixing and cleaning, always use clean, cold tap water!

Mixing the paving joint mortar Add the contents of the bottles to the mineral aggregate and mix homogeneously. Do not add water!

Filling the joints Pull the mortar over the entire wet paving surface with a hard-rubber squeegee and work it intensively into the joints. It is advisable to carry out the jointing from the highest to the lowest point. To produce water-impermeable joints, subsequent compaction of the joint mortar (e.g. using a jointing iron or tamper) is absolutely essential.

Sweeping off After approx. 5 min., remove mortar residues from the surface with a water spray jet. Alternatively, the surface can be swept diagonally to the joint with a wet broom.
