vdw 700 COLOROUT Coating Agent is an epoxy-resin coating for asphalt and hydraulically bound substrates — for the colour demarcation of cycle paths, footpaths, turning lanes and crossings and for surface design.

  • coloured
  • slip-resistant
  • highly wear-resistant
  • emission-free

Application

Requirements Sufficient surface strength of the asphalt or concrete substrate. Appropriate weather conditions, relative humidity < 80 %, object temperature > 15 °C and at least 3 °C above the prevailing dew-point temperature.

Tools Drill with mixing paddle, rubber squeegee, paint roller, shovel and broom.

Preparation Clean the substrate thoroughly, mask off the area to be coated with masking tape.

Material preparation Pour the binder components together and mix with a slow-running stirrer, mixing time at least 3 minutes.

Application Apply the binder immediately to the surface to be coated. Distribute with a rubber squeegee. Finish with a paint roller. Immediately broadcast the coated surface completely with the aggregate. Remove the masking tape.

Sweeping Once the coating has hardened, take up the excess broadcast aggregate.

Aftercare The hardening time until traffic release is approx. 2.5 to 3 hours at 20 °C. Freshly laid surfaces must be protected from rain until cured.
